Rescue Details

*PENDING ADOPTION* Onyx is a senior Great Dane, estimated to be around five years old, who recently came into the care of Big Hearts for Big Breeds after quite a journey. Found as a stray over a year ago, Onyx was taken in by kindhearted people who did everything they could to care for him. When they realized they were no longer able to continue meeting his needs, they reached out to the Big Hearts for Big Breeds team to help ensure Onyx receives the care, support, and love he truly deserves. This handsome boy has a sweet “sugar face” that hints at his gentle nature. So far, Onyx has shown himself to be friendly and easygoing with other dogs, and he carries himself with the quiet charm that makes senior Danes so special. Onyx is currently settling into rescue while the Big Hearts for Big Breeds team and our veterinary partners continue to evaluate his health and overall needs. As we learn more about him, we’re excited to help this deserving boy begin the next chapter of his life — one filled with comfort, stability, and a family who will cherish him.
