Rescue Details

Hickory is a two-year-old black Great Dane who is just beginning his journey with Big Hearts for Big Breeds. With his striking coat and classic Dane stature, this handsome boy is already turning heads — and we’re excited to learn more about him as he settles into rescue. Hickory is currently enrolled in a board-and-train program, where he’s building skills, structure, and confidence as he prepares for his future home. While we’re still getting to know him, he has already shown that he does well with other dogs and has even been around horses successfully. As his training progresses, we’ll continue to learn more about Hickory’s personality and ideal home. What we do know is that he’s off to a great start and has the potential to become a well-rounded, confident companion with the right guidance. Hickory is looking for a home that will continue his training journey and provide the leadership and stability he needs to thrive. I am micro chipped. I am good with other dogs. I am ok with other animals. I am comfortable around adults. I love my crate/kennel. I can use a doggy door. I know how to potty outside. I love leashed walks in the park. I will take up the whole back seat of your car, happily.
