Rescue Details

Dewey is a young Newfoundland and Labrador Retriever mix with a tender heart and a second chance at life. This gentle boy was rescued from a shelter euthanasia list after he became extremely stressed and shut down in that overwhelming environment. Since arriving in foster care, he’s finally been able to exhale, rest, and feel safe—and it shows. Now that he’s in a calm and caring home, we’re beginning to see glimpses of the sweet, loyal companion he truly is. Dewey is quiet, affectionate, and sensitive, with a soft spot for kind voices, gentle pets, and peaceful routines. Every day, he opens up a little more, and we’re so excited to watch him rediscover joy. Dewey is looking for a patient, loving forever home where he can continue to heal and thrive—surrounded by kindness, comfort, and the steady rhythm of a life filled with love.

I am micro chipped. I am comfortable around adults. I love my crate/kennel. I can use a doggy door. I know how to potty outside. I love leashed walks in the park.
