Rescue Details

*PENDING ADOPTION* San Luis, lovingly called Louie, is a five-year-old Great Dane who found his way to the Big Hearts for Big Breeds rescue just in time. This handsome harlequin boy is potty trained, kennel trained, and does well with both other dogs and children, making him a wonderful companion in the home. Louie came into rescue with distressing gastrointestinal issues from eating whatever he could find while he was doing his best just to stay alive. Now safe and cared for, Louie is on the road to recovery and is gaining strength every day. With the help of an incredible foster family, he’s learning what it means to be healthy, comfortable, and loved again. Louie is a resilient, gentle Great Dane who’s ready for the next chapter of his life, one filled with stability, kindness, and the forever family he’s always deserved.
